She studied architecture at HAIR (Higher Institute for Architecture) in Antwerp, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in 1978. Shortly afterwards, in 1979, she set up her own architectural firm, which became Architectenbureau Christine Conix bvba in 1989, of which she was Managing Director and main shareholder. In 2000, a different structure was chosen to ensure continuity of the office. In this new structure a board of external advisors was created in order to broaden the vision. Furthermore, this structure also offers investment opportunities for creative and motivated collaborators who want to become partner. At the moment, she fulfils the function of Chief Executive Officer, and is closely involved in the concept, design and execution of multiple projects.
